This class will have you feeling lighter, taller, and more free through the shoulders and chest. Throughout class we practice the same arm movements in different positions that change your relationship to gravity in progressively challenging ways. This class begins seated with a hands-on breathing practice to help us tune in to how the chest, belly, sides, and back move as we breathe. Then we move to hands and knees before we get to our feet for some balance and standing poses with a couple belly-down backbends. Finally we lay down on the back for some reclined twists before ending the practice in savasana on the back.
Props recommended: a couple yoga blocks or a chair or ottoman/stool, a cushion to sit on, padding for under the knees.
