Play Catch for Added Focus and Shoulder Mobility

Who knew tossing and catching a ball could be used as a good warm-up for your shoulders? When we play catch with a small ball we build coordination and increase focus. In today's class we toss and catch the ball in various ways and in different positions to wake up our shoulder girdle, challenge our balance, and increase proprioception (body awareness in space).

We also use a yoga belt or long scarf in ways that bring space in the shoulders, chest, and upper back. It's a well-rounded practice with a slow flowing sun salutation variation that enhances core and leg strength, too.

Guaranteed to make you smile, the hour will go by quickly!
