The movement of the breath is influenced by the movements of the body.
In this gentle practice we explore the three dimensional movements of the breath through the different planes and dimensions of the body - up/down, side to side, back to front.
Through familiar yoga poses we pay attention to each breath in these different dimensions and planes of movement, opening and closing, expanding and compressing, hollowing and rounding.
We practice some twists, side bends, and move through flexion and extension as we remain aware of the breath's movements in and around our ribs and belly.
You'll feel relaxed and more receptive to your body and your breath after this class, perhaps feeling your breath moving "in the round", as Joanne Avison likes to say.
