Mindful Flow - Becoming Eagle Pose

We practice movements and postures that prepare our body for the balancing pose Eagle, which requires the ability to wrap one leg around the other, as well as one arm over the other while balancing on one leg.

Eagle pose stretches the outer hips and thighs, strengthens the inner thighs, and stretches the shoulders and upper back.

This class mobilizes and stretches the hips, shoulders, and spine while strengthening the upper back. You'll feel mentally focused and open in the shoulders and chest after this class.

Props that may be helpful:

  • padding for under the knees
  • a yoga belt or long scarf
  • a cushion to sit on

Accessibilty:

  • we practice poses while laying on the back, from hands and knees, standing, laying on the belly, and seated on the floor
