This class will give you relief on days when you feel stiff and sore. Do you have arthritis or chronic pain? Did you recently injure your back? Have you been told by a physiotherapist that your hips are tight? In this class we practice gentle ways to loosen up the back and hips. I give you options in every pose so you can find ways to practice the class that suits you best today.
The class begins on the back, then we move to hands and knees (options shown using the chair), before we come to standing. Towards the end of class we spend some time on the belly doing some gentle movements to strengthen the back (more options are given). We end in a seated twist and side bend.
Props you may find helpful during class:
- 1-2 pillows or folded blankets or bolsters
- a chair or a couple yoga blocks, or an ottoman or stool
