Gentle Hatha - Yoga for All Levels

Your lower back and hips will feel so much better after this class! Suitable for beginners and experienced yoga practitioners alike. Options are given with the chair for those who would rather not place weight on their knees, or if you want more support in your standing forward bends.

We begin on the back with some leg and hip stretches before transitioning to all fours (hands and feet/knees) to practice some gliding movements through the hips in lunge. Once we get to our feet we practice a slow walking meditation that leads into a split-stance forward bend that gently strengthens the back before we surrender into the forward stretch. Lastly, we come to the floor to practice a seated twist and forward bend.

Props recommended: a chair and/or two yoga blocks, a cushion to sit on, padding for under the knees.
