Feel Confident with a Strong Core and Legs

Movements that strengthen the core and legs so you feel strong and confident!

We begin with reclined core and hip strengthening movements for the first 20 minutes of the class. Then we transition to hands and knees for some table balance flows and move from downward dog to plank for whole body strength.

Once standing we practice a lunge sequence to fire up the thighs and glutes.

Towards the end of class we bring it all together with a couple boat pose variations that strengthen both the core and hips again.

We end with a seated twist and stretch for the front thighs that will feel great after all that strength work!

Props used:

  • a pillow or blanket (as padding for under knee in low lunge)
  • a block (to sit up on for the seated twist and thigh stretch)
  • a cushion or bolster (to prop up hips in seated boat pose variations)
