Core strength involves many different muscles around the centre of your body, including the abdominal muscles, deep back muscles, hip flexors, and even your respiratory diaphragm and pelvic floor muscles. When each of these muscles are strong, we carry ourselves with greater confidence, agility, and stability. A strong "core" also lends us some protection for the vulnerable area of our lower back.
In this class you'll practice some familiar core strengthening movements we've done in previous classes, along with new and challenging exercises that will awaken muscles you maybe haven't felt for a while. You'll feel more confident in your movements for the rest of the day after practicing this class!
