Corporate Wellness Programs
Corporate wellness initiatives have become more widespread and mainstream for many workplaces today. Employers see the potential value wellness programs have for both their employees and the company's bottom line. Healthier and more relaxed workers mean less money lost to sick days and drug benefit payments. Workplace wellness activities are also a perfect opportunity for co-workers to relate to each other on a more personal level and can be a great tool for team-building.

Regular Yoga Classes (30 minutes to 1 hour)
It's surprising how little space is needed to have a regular yoga class on mats. To accommodate 6-10 people, 250 square feet is optimal. A meeting room, swept lunch room, or empty office space can turn into a yoga studio quickly by simply moving a few chairs and tables. Offering employees a regular weekly yoga class either before work, at lunch, or after work, is a convenient way for them to reap the benefits of taking time for themselves.

Office Yoga (30 - 45 minutes)
One of the most convenient and inexpensive wellness programs to offer employees is Office Yoga. No equipment or fitness room is needed, since participants sit in or stand beside their chair while doing Office Yoga. It can be done in regular business attire in a meeting room, large office, or even an open cubicle setting. The goal of Office Yoga is to get the blood flowing and the body limber with some simple movements and modified yoga postures. The exercises loosen up areas in both the upper and lower body that become tight from sitting at a desk, such as the neck, shoulders, wrists, lower back, and hips. Employees return to their desks sitting taller and feeling more energetic after the session.
Companies can choose to have Office Yoga on a regular, semi-regular, or one-off program. It could be offered on a weekly or monthly basis, during a Wellness Fair, or as a scheduled break during a conference or long meeting. Either way, Office Yoga is one of the most convenient wellness programs available.
Workplace Workshops or Wellness Fairs (30 minutes to 2 hours)
